Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Voting: when you vote we store the selected option and the time. To prevent duplicate votes and derive country/city statistics we keep only a hashed form of your IP address (never the address itself), an anonymous browser cookie where the poll uses cookie checking, and the referring site.
- Accounts: e-mail address, username, display name and password hash; optional two-factor secret.
- Organization surveys: the answers you give, which may include contact details only if the survey owner asks for them and you provide them; such fields are stored encrypted.
- Contact form: name, e-mail, message and a hashed IP address.
- Server logs: standard access logs kept for security.
Why
To run the service, prevent abuse and duplicate voting, show aggregated statistics to poll and survey owners, and answer your messages. Legal basis: performance of the service and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure (KVKK art. 5/2-c, f; GDPR art. 6/1-b, f).
Third parties
Public poll pages (vote, results, analytics) may show Google AdSense ads, which can set cookies; poll creators can turn ads off for their poll with “Hide Ads”. Organization surveys and dashboards never show ads. We use no third-party analytics scripts. Data is hosted on servers in the European Union; for residents of Türkiye this is a transfer abroad under KVKK art. 9. AI reports are generated on our own servers; respondent data is never sent to external AI services.
Retention
Votes are kept for as long as the poll exists. Organization survey responses follow the retention period the organization sets. Account data is deleted when you delete your account. Logs are rotated regularly.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data at [email protected]. Residents of the EU/EEA have rights under the GDPR; residents of Türkiye have rights under Law No. 6698 (KVKK) art. 11, including the right to apply to the data controller.
